Braidwood is located 1 hr drive from Canberra or Batemans Bay, or 3 hrs drive from Sydney. This makes for an easy day trip to Braidwood for the rodeo, or to check out more of the area you might like to stay the night. This will be the first full program of rodeo in Braidwood for 30 years. Given the area has a number of recently successful competitors we thought it was time for them to ride on their home turf. Apart from this, Braidwood used to be well known for staging a good rodeo.

The slack (extra events) will start at 8am with the main event beginning at midday. We will need to finish the rodeo by dark because we don't have outside lights. For those wanting to continue into the evening there will be a dinner and dance ($15 at the door) starting at 6pm at the showground hall.
